Pintercom Privacy Policy

1. General

This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use the Pintercom mobile application (the “App”). The controller is Alexander Kondrashov, email: plotojad@gmail.com.

By using the App, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, stop using the App.

2. Purpose and architecture

Pintercom provides voice communication between devices connected to the same local Wi-Fi network. One device hosts a room and other devices join as participants.

Voice traffic is transmitted between participant devices. The rightsholder does not provide a cloud service for transmitting or storing conversations and does not receive the content of voice communications.

The current version does not require a Pintercom account and has no proprietary cloud backend.

3. Information processed

Local profile: display name and selected image/avatar, stored on the user’s device.

Room and network data: room name, local network addresses, session device identifiers, groups, roles and connection state, used for discovery and room operation on the local network.

Audio: microphone input is processed to transmit speech to the active room. The App does not record conversations or save audio files.

Settings and presets: application settings, room presets and access flags are stored locally.

Payments: purchases and subscriptions are processed by RuStore. Pintercom receives only metadata required to display products and determine subscription status. The rightsholder does not receive card numbers or other payment credentials.

Minimal entitlement cache: the App may locally store only confirmed access tier, verification time and expiry, for no more than 72 hours and never beyond the store subscription expiry. Purchase, account and card identifiers are not stored in this cache.

Diagnostics: connection and audio-state indicators may be shown locally. The current version does not automatically transmit them to the rightsholder.

4. Device permissions

Microphone — to transmit speech in an active room.

Notifications and foreground service — to show an active session and maintain background audio operation.

Local network/Wi-Fi — to discover rooms and connect devices.

Camera — only when scanning a QR invitation.

Bluetooth/Nearby devices — where Android requires it for headsets or connected devices.

5. Purposes and legal bases

Providing App functionality and local communication; performance of the user agreement.

Determining FREE/PRO access and processing subscriptions through the store; contract performance and legitimate interest in reliability and abuse prevention.

Compliance with law, handling requests, and protecting the rights of the rightsholder and users.

6. Third parties

RuStore and its payment partners process purchases under their own terms and privacy documents.

The operating system and device manufacturer may process technical information under their policies.

The rightsholder does not sell personal data or share conversation content with advertising networks.

7. Retention and deletion

Profile, presets and settings remain locally until deleted by the user, app data is cleared, or the App is uninstalled.

Active-room information exists only as needed to provide the relevant functions.

The entitlement cache is cleared after confirmed absence/expiry of a subscription or when app data is cleared.

To remove local data, clear Pintercom storage in Android settings or uninstall the App.

8. Security and limitations

The App uses Android and local-network security mechanisms, but security also depends on router configuration, devices and participant actions.

Do not disclose room PINs or QR invitations. Do not rely on Pintercom as the sole emergency, medical or other safety-critical communication system.

9. Children

The App is not specifically directed to children and does not intentionally collect children’s data. Parents or guardians should supervise use by minors.

10. User rights

You may request information, correction or deletion of data held by the rightsholder by contacting plotojad@gmail.com. Because most information is stored only on your device, the rightsholder may not possess the data you ask to delete.

11. Changes

This Policy may be updated when features, law or store services change. The current version will be published at https://plotojad.com/projects/docs/pintercom/privacy-en with its effective date.
